Visit Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs

Travel

Moorten Botanical Garden, a desert cactarium, is a Historic Landmark in Palm Springs, that was first opened in 1938, by Patricia and “Cactus Slim” Moorten. This place is so inspiring. All the textures, the shape and sculpture of the plants and winding paths. Its the perfect place to sketch or play with your camera. There are 3,000 examples of cacti and other desert plants, all labeled and organized into groups of where they came from. Visiting botanical gardens was something that I did with my mom and dad growing up and I’m enjoying making time to go again. I find that after walking around a garden, I always leave breathing deeper and that the inner well is full.
